Did you know that you could help free your body of toxins by using all natural beauty products? There are so many things in the environment that your body soaks in as toxins. These toxins can be found in your hair care products, skincare products and your nail polish. You may not even be aware of the amount of toxins that are built up in your system, and you’d be amazed at the difference you would feel if you followed these steps to detox your body.

Step #1: Determine if you are actually using natural beauty products

The first step to this detox plan is to look for harmful ingredients in the products you currently use. You might think you already use natural beauty products, but you need to take a closer look at the ingredient list to be sure. If your current products contain chemicals and toxic ingredients like parabens, carbamide(urea), sulfates or if they have been tested on animals, you should consider switching to more natural beauty products. Step #2: Find natural beauty products to replace your toxic beauty products

It can be a little tricky to find natural beauty products that are 100% natural. You can’t always believe everything you read, and sometimes you have to dig a little deeper in order to be sure that the products are really natural. Some beauty products will be marketed at natural or organic because they contain a few organic ingredients, but they also contain synthetic ingredients as well, so they are definitely not all natural! A good tip to finding natural beauty products is if you can pronounce all of the ingredients in the product. Also look for certified seals that label the beauty product as organic or 100% natural.

Step #3: Make your own relaxing detox bath

Now that you have switched to natural beauty products and gotten rid of your toxic beauty products you still need to address the toxins that have already been built up in your system. By adding certain detoxing ingredients into your bath water you can help your body naturally get rid of its toxins. Epsom salts have detoxing properties, as does apple cider vinegar. By adding Epsom salts or apple cider vinegar to your bath water it will help draw out the built up toxins in your system. You have to make sure to drink plenty of water before and after a detox bath to avoid dehydration.

Step #4: Get past the symptoms you may experience while detoxing

At first when you begin to detox, your body might seem to get worse at first. Some symptoms of detoxing include nausea, headache and diarrhea.  Don’t be discouraged if you experience some of these symptoms this is a sign that your body is effectively getting rid of toxins. In order to minimize these detoxing symptoms try to detox more gradually so your body can slowly get used to being free from toxins and the effects will not be as drastic.

Step #5: Maintain your toxic free lifestyle

Switching to natural beauty products is just one aspect of your lifestyle that will help you detox, but there are many more factors that will help you get rid of even more toxins. We constantly take in toxins in the foods we eat and the air we breathe. You should be aware of what you put into your body and try to control the substances in your home that you surround yourself with. Some ways you can cut down on the amount of toxins you take it are to choose to eat organic foods and use natural cleaning products around your house.

These are simply suggestions for how you can limit the amount of toxins that you expose your skin and your body to.  Making a few small changes can make a huge difference to your health and to the way you feel!
