We do not age because we are getting old, we age because we have given up on ourselves. We stop moving, stop caring what we eat and stop nourishing our soul.
First of all we need to take care of our inside and our outside will show it!
1) Aim to have protein at least 3 times a day. Eggs, fish and chicken are great staples. I’m not a big meat protein lover so I also like to have a handful of hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, sun flower seeds or a low fat nut high in protein. Another way to get healthy protein in your diet is a Whey or Pea Protein Shake. Choose one with Cortisol so when you get the nibbles in the afternoon you can have your shake and the Cortisol will help suppress your appetite & it’s proven that you will eat less at your next meal.
2) Cut up your favorite veggies as soon as you get them home so they are always at hand either as a snack or to throw in your stir fry, soups or to make a fast side dish. I love sweet peas, baby carrots and cucumber for snacking. Your best low glycemic veggies are cauliflower, broccoli and green beans. When you have a cooked meal try to have raw veggies or a salad as this will help your digestion – The better your digestion the lower your weight and the better you feel.
3) Fat is your Friend! Have good fats 1 to 3 times at day. The best sources of Omega 3 are Walnuts, Hemp Seeds, Pumpkin Seed, Cotton Oil, Salmon and Mackerel/Sardines. Incorporate these into your cooking or even add to your protein shake. This oil keeps your brain & heart healthy and your skin and hair beautiful.
